About the role

We’re looking for a sharp, meme-brained Comedy Writer & Script Creator to help shape Bitcoin's cultural narrative through viral Instagram reels, shorts, and skits. This role is not for the faint-hearted … it’s for someone who understands Bitcoin, satire, and the art of grabbing attention in the first 6 seconds.

You’ll work directly with Brad Mills and our media team to write comedy scripts that disrupt the fiat echo chamber, onboard new Bitcoiners, and challenge the status quo with humor that hits hard.

Core Responsibilities:

• Write highly engaging, short-form comedy scripts designed for viral Instagram reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikToks.

• Work with Brad and the production team to brainstorm, refine, and iterate on comedy concepts.

• Analyze viral Bitcoin, finance, and cultural humor trends to ensure our content stays fresh and relevant.

• Develop characters, scenarios, and punchlines that make Bitcoin approachable and hilarious.

• Keep content aligned with Bitcoin values (freedom, decentralization, and sovereignty) while making it accessible to no-coiners.

What we’re looking for:

• A comedy writer with a sharp wit and strong meme game, someone who understands satire, irony, and the absurdity of fiat culture.

• Experience writing short-form comedy, sketches, or scripts (social media reels, stand-up, late-night monologues, etc.).

• Strong grasp of viral content psychology (hook, curiosity gap, payoff).

• Bitcoin-literate - you don’t need to be a maximalist, but if you think 'number go up' is the full story, this isn’t the job for you.

• Ability to work collaboratively - you’ll be iterating quickly with our team and Brad.

• A knack for punchy, scroll-stopping writing that can be delivered in under 60 seconds.

Test Project:

Before hiring, we’re offering a paid test project where you’ll:

• Analyze viral comedy reels from our curated list.

• Create a brief outlining key concepts (comedy style, timing, structure, characters, locations, etc.).

• Write three short-form viral Bitcoin comedy scripts for Instagram reels.

• Present your work in a collaborative pitch call (20 min).

3. Initial Chat: A 15-minute high-level overview of your experience.

4. Strength Tests: Assessments on interaction, work style, and learning preferences.

5. Interview: Meet with 1–2 company leaders to get to know each other.

6. Test Project: A paid opportunity to showcase your skills and problem-solving approach.

7. Final Interview: A call with the CEO.
